Common Voices Lecture Series
Each year the TRU Students' Union brings a world-class lecturer to campus as part of our annual Common Voices Lecture Series. This series provides an opportunity for members of the campus and broader community to engage in a dialogue around relevant social issues. In the past this lecture series has included David Suzuki, Thomas Homer Dixon, and Steven Lewis.
This year the TRUSU Common Voices Lecture Series will be featuring Peter Mansbridge. As the anchor of the national and chief correspondent of CBC television news, he brings comprehension, levity and a uniquely Canadian perspective to the stories shaping our nation and the world. He will be discussing the role of Canada and Canadians internationally.
The lecture will take place in the Grand hall of the Campus Activity Centre beginning at 7pm with the doors opening at 6pm. There is no cost to attend the event and tickets will be available at the Members' Services Desk in the Independent Centre (Students' Union Building) between 8am and 4pm Monday-Friday beginning January 2nd, 2012. There is a limit of two tickets per person.
