The BC proportional representation referendum is being conducted as a mail-in ballot from October 23 to November 30. This means that in order to vote you need to be registered and make sure that your address is up to date before October 23 to have your voting package mailed to your correct address.
Who can vote in the referendum?
You can vote in the referendum if you are:
- a Canadian citizen,
- 18 or older as of November 30, 2018, and
- a resident of B.C. for at least six months immediately before November 30, 2018
How do I vote?
All of the information you need to vote will be included in your voting package that is mailed to you in late October. You can mail in your completed package for free by dropping it off at any Canada Post location.
What do I do if I didn’t receive a voting package or it was sent to the wrong address?
If you haven’t received your voting package by early November for any reason, you can visit any Service BC office across the province to pick up a new package.
